Profile

Nora Osbaldeston is the Office Managing Partner of the Toronto/Markham offices of Miller Thomson.   Prior to her election as Office Managing Partner, she held the position of National Chair of the firm’s Financial Services Group and Ontario Co-Chair of the firm’s corporate department.  In 2009, Ms. Osbaldeston was chosen by the Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women.

In addition to her management role, Ms. Osbaldeston continues to practice in the firm’s financial services group with a focus on debt financing.  She acts for banks and other institutional lenders on a wide range of secured and unsecured lending transactions, including both domestic and multi-jurisdictional syndicated and single lender financings.  She also represents corporate borrowers in their dealings with financial institutions and other lenders.

Ms. Osbaldeston has on numerous occasions participated as a Lecturer for the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, and has been an Instructor and tutor at the Ontario Bar Admission Course (Business Law Section).  Ms. Osbaldeston has sat on numerous charitable boards, is a founding member of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, and is listed in “Women in the Lead," published by the Richard Ivey School of Business, a national directory of Canadian women whose professional expertise and experience recommend them as candidates for corporate board appointment. 

Ms. Osbaldeston spends her spare time golfing and running.
